Our Commitment

Sustainability

Varying methods of sustainable farming practices are used on our farm. To reduce soil erosion and increase soil health, we have been successful in using strip tilling with a cover crop. This greatly impacts the health of our vulnerable transplants as well by creating a wind break. Water is one of our most valuable resources so we use a variety of irrigation practices to reduce wastage and conserve energy. An integrated pest management system is also in place to safely combat pest problems.

Food Safety

With over ten years of being CanadaGAP Certified in Food Safety, Monette Produce will continue to refine production and handling practices, thus providing consumers with a safe and traceable product.

Community Involvement

At Monette Produce, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back to the localities that support us. Our commitment to social responsibility is at the core of our values, driving us to foster positive change and contribute to the well-being of the communities where we operate.
Each Monette Produce location is deeply rooted in its community. We encourage our managers to engage with local residents, organizations, and leaders to understand their needs and aspirations.
At Monette Produce, we are more than just an agricultural business; we are a part of the community. We are proud to be a part of the Regina Food Bank’s most recent project, the Community Food Hub, to help tackle food insecurity in Saskatchewan. The Community Food Hub is a national first. It looks and feels like a grocery store but the food is all still free. Monette Produce is the proud sponsor of the Vegetable Section and donates locally grown vegetables for families and individuals in need all year round.
